Job Description

As Staff Accountant, you will support Controllers with the day-to-day record-keeping of daily transactions for our restaurant clients. You will work with the team to establish SOPs to help ensure the timely deliverables of Financial Reporting. You will also lead the accounts payable, vendor management, and payroll functions.
Essential Functions
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end close, properly accounting for all income and expenses
- Lead accounts payable and payroll process.
- Weekly banking imports and reconciliations
- Monthly bank and credit card statement reconciliations.
- Support production of client financial statements in accordance with contract requirements.
- Support ad hoc projects and change activity
- Light administrative duties, as needed
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Current knowledge of accounting processes (payroll, payables, banking, expenses) and systems that support with curiosity and ability to drive continuous improvement efficiencies.
- Experience in the food service/restaurant industry, xtraChef, ADP, and R365 a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (e.g., lookups, pivot tables, data manipulation)
- Good communication skills. Team player with a robust personality, able to challenge the status quo
- Well-organized and detail-oriented
- Working knowledge of US GAAP
- Ability, ambition, and motivation to grow with the business
