As we continue to enjoy a period of significant and sustained business activity, our accounting department has an opening for an experienced, proactive and customer driven Accounts Payable / Account Receivable Accountant, to take up a cross-functional support role, assisting the Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR) processing as part of a busy Accounting team.

Key Responsibilities / Functions

·      Manage the all invoices including AP/AR.

·      Process the vendor expenses and monitor / clear the vendor payments, especially freight expenses

·      Process incoming payments, evaluate cash discounts and coordinate the resolution of discrepancies on customer’s accounts with the customer, sales, and customer service teams on a timely basis

·         Review aged accounts receivable and cash receipts report daily and manage all delinquent accounts

·         All other miscellaneous duties as assigned

Skills / Attributes Required

·         Minimum of one years’ experience in AR or AP

Chinese / Mandarin speaking is plus.

·         Experience with Oracle or another integrated accounting system

·         Must be detail oriented

·         Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook

·         Effective and professional communicator

·         Ability to work independently and in a team

·         Ability to build effective working relationships within the department and across multiple business functions

·         Sound judgment skills when under pressure and within a fast paced environment

·         Good analytical, organizational, problem solving and listening skills

·         Ability to challenge existing processes and procedures within and outside of AP/AR to improve overall efficiency

·         Accountability, assertiveness, dependability, initiative, responsiveness, and quality focused

Education

Associates Degree in Accounting or related field and at least three years’ experience in processing AP/AR in an integrated accounting system environment OR significant work experience in these functions.
