How this role contributesto the Y’s mission:
As a Y Custodian you will perform regular janitorial duties to ensure the cleanliness of Y wellness center.
As a Y Custodian you’ll contribute to the Y and to the larger community we serve by enhancing the Y member experience, making the Y an enjoyable and meaningful part of their lives.
This work is right for you if you have:
o An enthusiastic love for people of all ages, patience, good judgment and a good spirit o The ability to relate to diverse groups of people from all social and economicsegments of the community o The ability to use equipment and chemicals in prescribed manner, including ability to read labels, MSDS information sheets, and instructions o The ability to stay alert to potential safety and security problems o The ability to carry out instructions independently o Previous related experience (preferred) Associates of the Y in Central Maryland are required to be fully vaccinated for the COVID virus or have a valid medical or religious accommodation.
