About Trevor
The Trevor Project is the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ young people. We are a non-profit that provides 24/7 life-saving support via phone, text, and chat. We also operate the world’s largest safe space social networking site for LGBTQ youth and run innovative research, education, and advocacy programs. We’ve been saving lives every day for over 20 years.
Overview of the role
Volunteers are central to The Trevor Project’s ability to fulfill our mission. As the University Relations Manager you will be responsible for building out a new function of campus and community recruitment within the Volunteer Recruitment team to attract volunteers through strategic partnership development with Colleges, Universities, community organizations, and other institutions. As we continue to grow and scale the number of volunteers needed to support our crisis services, you will ensure we consistently have a sufficient number of new highly-qualified volunteer applicants for our Volunteer Recruiters to screen.
As the University Relations Manager, you will supervise and work closely with Associates to manage the day-to-day work of volunteer-focused partnerships, including relationship cultivation and management, contracts and agreements, partnership meetings, school visits, student support, and evaluations. You will also organize and participate in volunteer recruitment activities, including info sessions and volunteer fairs.
