Primary Objective: Responsible for oversight of the annual budget process, cash flow management, debt compliance, risk/insurance programs, and investment portfolio. Analyzes various scenarios and risks, forecasts short, medium and long- term funding, and recommends strategies for revenue, cash flow and risk management.
Essential Functions:
Oversee, prepare and manage the annual budget process and update forecasts.
Perform financial analyses across multiple departments and entities related to prospective projects and initiatives.
Manage projects and collaborate with other departments in business operations.
In coordination with accounting staff, analyze general ledger activity to ensure costs associated with various businesses are synchronized in financial models with correct accounts, entities, initiatives, etc.
Prepare and maintain prospective financial statement models for purposes of reporting to ownership, banking partners and Major League Baseball (MLB).
Report on investment strategies and portfolio management under the direction of the Investment Committee.
Serve as liaison with banking and business partners to support bank account maintenance, bank services set-up, and banking administration functions, including user profile management, entitlement maintenance, and control.
Manage foreign exchange program to support international business operations.
Analyze and report on treasury activity, to include debt and cash flow management.
Prepare monthly and quarterly debt compliance materials.
Forecast multiple-period quarterly and annual debt compliance.
Oversee risk/insurance programs supporting multiple entities, brokers, consultants, underwriters, carriers, and MLB representatives.
Will perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance and/or accounting required.
A minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in financial, planning and analysis (FP&A), financial modeling, treasury functions and accounting.
Experience with Workday and Adaptive Insights preferred.
Understanding of the financial statement impact of business operations, and financial forecasts, including how financial statements are built and compiled from the transaction level to the report level.
Experience with foreign currency exchange and interest rate markets and derivative products.
Ability to understand and breakdown complex data/ideas into key drivers for ease of decision-making.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
