Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and coordinate with internal and external legal and external auditors to ensure SEC filings, 10-Q, 10K, Proxy Statements, and Earnings Releases are accurately prepared and fully compliant with SEC and GAAP rules and regulations.
- Responsible for our stock-based compensation accounting, including valuations, expense recognition, and outstanding share counts.
- Partner with Accounting and Finance on MD&A analysis to analyze contracts or agreements for accounting implications and prepare technical memos to support the ultimate treatment and conclusions.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of SOX internal control policies and procedures.
- Direct quarterly financial reviews and year end audit processes with the company’s external auditors.
- Complete accounting policy updates to ensure compliance with US GAAP, implement new or emerging accounting pronouncements (ASC 606, ASC 842, etc.) and prepare technical memos as needed.
- Special projects as assigned.
Job Qualifications
- Degree in Finance or Accounting: CPA and Big 4 experience preferred.
- 8+ years of accounting experience; public accounting experience preferred.
- SEC reporting and filing experience for 10-K’s, 10-Q’s and XBLR required.
- Working knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley, GAAP and SEC Regulations
- Working knowledge of Internal Controls and SOX compliance and processes.
- Success in working across functional areas with strong verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of the close and audit processes
- Oracle knowledge a plus.
- Strong self-motivation and ability to manage through ambiguity.
- To ensure service levels, it is essential that the individual in this role be able to work a regular and reliable schedule as provided by management.
- Given the significant responsibilities of this role, it is essential that this role be filled on a full-time basis only. It is essential that the duties of this role be performed on-site at the office location.
