Supervises: HR Manager/ Operations Manager

Organization Background and Current Status: The Renaissance Collaborative, Inc. (TRC) is an award-winning not-for-profit supportive housing, employment and educational service agency serving the historical Bronzeville Community on Chicago’s mid-south side. The Renaissance Corporation is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to promote self-sufficiency for low- and moderate-income residents of Chicago that enables them to rebuild their lives by providing comprehensive services and support. TRC is dedicated to providing innovative affordable housing environments that renew people and build healthier communities. The Renaissance Collaborative, Inc. is a thirty-year-old non-profit organization. It works in partnership with other community civic, economic, and social service organizations to achieve its mission. Using an asset-based approach, the agency works in three distinct business areas:
Position Description: Finance & Operations Manager is a member of the management team and is responsible for maintaining the financial health and oversee the administrative functions of the agency. This role oversees the financial control environment and develops appropriate policies and procedures to minimize risk and safeguard the assets of the agency. The position provides the routine accounting functions, maintaining accounting document files, including accounts payable, receivable and for all buildings and projects which includes: TRC, Renaissance Limited Partnership, and Senior Village 1, NFP
Financial Management Responsibilities: (Approximately 30%)
Accounting Responsibilities (Approximately 50%)
Operations Management (Approximately 20%)
Oversee health and retirement benefit programs and make recommendations or changes to
the HR/ Operations Manager to ensure that the HR functions of the organization is following acceptable principles, and sound nonprofit management principles and that legal requirements are followed.
Supervise the HR/ Operations Manager to ensure the review and renew insurance policies (liability, property, Directors, and Officers, etc.
Conduct other administrative or financial projects as directed by the Executive Director
Oversee the HR/ Operations Manager who is responsible for day-today facilities and staff management

Time Commitment: Full-time (40 hours per week)
Compensation:
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $57,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
