Summary:
The Finance Manager is responsible for the finance function of Hillman’s U.S. industrial businesses. The Finance Manger will partner with the leaders of the industrial businesses and support them with a broad range of financial planning, analysis, and management. The Finance Manager ensures the accuracy and integrity of the financial results and is responsible for the finance activities including: preparing budgets and forecasts; modeling financial impact of business plans, performing financial reporting and analysis; overseeing the general ledger accounting, cash receipts, and accounts payable; maintaining sound financial policies and procedures; and providing audit support as necessary. This position is posted in both Tyler, TX and Hamilton (Cincinnati), OH. Only one of the two locations will be filled.

Key Result Areas (KRAs):
1.Partnering with the business
- Advise the business on ways to improve financial performance and participate in key decision making
- Effectively communicate the drivers of financial results and trends to the business leaders
- Prepare financial justification for capital and other project requests
2.Financial reporting and analysis
- Manage the financial close process and adhere to reporting timelines
- Analyze financial results and trends
- Effectively communicate results to the business with value added insight
- Prepare ad hoc analysis as needed
3.Budgeting and forecasting.
- Prepare annual budget for the business working with the business leaders to obtain inputs and assumptions
- Measure performance versus budget and prepare variance analysis
- Prepare periodic forecasts to update outlook for the year
- Prepare and maintain long-term (5 year) forecasts for the business
4.Maintaining financial policies and procedures
- Implement and adhere to corporate finance policies
- Ensure that accounting is compliant with GAAP and company policy
- Maintain a strong control environment and provide support with audits
5.Directing shared services
- Directing accounts receivable and collections process
- Directing accounts payable and disbursement process
- Partner with Corporate treasury department for cash management
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is required
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in finance/accounting
- Strong communicator, understanding of technology with financial systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Travel required
