A media company in Manhattan is actively seeking a driven and hardworking professional to join their staff as their new Finance Manager. In this role, the Finance Manager will participate in and lead financial variances for forecast, budget, and monthly close packages.
Responsibilities
The Finance Manager will:
- Act as the point of contact to the senior sales leadership of the team and lead bi-weekly forecast review meetings
- Interface with the business, corporate finance, and accounting to ensure accurate data and information gathering
- Publish weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports, and provide business perspective
- Build process improvements that identify and track key operating metrics that can be leveraged to develop planning tools
- Create financial models to support P&L forecasting, annual budgeting process, and evaluation of strategic business decisions
- Perform analysis/deep dives on profitability and other periodic ad-hoc analytical projects
Qualifications
- 7-8 years of analytical experience in financial planning, operations or any other finance-heavy division
- Revenue experience
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint with a focus on speed and efficiency
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite; advanced skills in Excel with a focus on speed and efficiency
- Experience with accounting software, Salesforce.com,
- Demonstrates initiative
- Highly detail-oriented
