Your role at Clorox:
This role is a key position within the Better Health, Vitamins Minerals and Supplements (BHVMS) FP&A group providing broad based support to cross-functional teams in the rapidly evolving BHVMS business unit. You will be responsible for project financial analysis, supporting Long Range Planning and Impairment Testing processes, Product Profit & Loss development and other ad-hoc requests
In this role, you will:
- Develop project financials for innovation and other key initiatives by working with cross- functional teams to model proforma P&Ls, discounted cash flow, IRR, NPV and deepest red in support of a recommendation to end development (RED) or kill
- Develop Annual Product P&L’s (PP&L) for owned brands or P&L accounts by analyzing and proposing allocations by product, brand and/or customer
- Support Long Range Planning (LRP) processes by coordinating with cross functional teams to develop and reflect LRP drivers into cohesive brand and total BHVMS builds
- Gather management views and third-party projections to develop longer-term trajectories needed in valuation and trademark impairment testing processes
- Provide financial thought leadership to cross-functional team members as a core member of Commercial and Product Solution Teams
- Provide decision support to business partners and leadership by identifying and communicating the key assumptions, opportunities and risks of proposals
- Provide insights to support integrated margin management goals through product, customer/channel, discount, trade and A&SP analysis
- Provide other support as needed such as: pricing analysis, stat factor and product hierarchy maintenance and Net Innovation tracking
- Maintain a strong internal control environment by documenting key activities and ensuring appropriate DOAs are followed
What we look for:
- 4-5+ years of broad-based F&A experience, preferably in an FMCG/CPG
- Bachelor level degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA desirable
- Strong planning, organizing, communication, presentation and influencing skills are essential to succeed in this role
- Strong computer literacy across the MS Office suite as well as other types of applications e.g. SAP, Excel, Power BI, Web based project management tools (Target Process), etc.
- Ability to work under time pressure across different time zones and prioritize to meet deadlines
- Ability to distill complex concepts and problems into simple terms and actionable tasks, particularly to cross-functionals
- Excellent collaboration and ability to develop strong internal relationships at all organizational levels
- Self-starter exhibiting personal initiative and creative problem solving
