Finance Manager – Commercial Operations
JOB SUMMARY
Provides leadership, vision, and strategic direction in the daily management of the Business Area’s financial performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Works with Business Area leaders to prepare the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and the Strategic Plan. This includes working with business area management to set budget/forecast/Strategic Plan guidelines and working with departmental managers to gather data, consolidate, review, and obtain final approval.
Publishes and promotes the budget, forecasts, and Strategic Plan to Business Area employees, while monitoring and improving those processes.
Monitors worldwide Business Area financial performance compared to annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and prior year.
Prepares monthly financial commentary, clearly explaining current business performance.
Investigates variances to budget, determines underlying cause of variances, and makes recommendations for resolution of issues.
Makes recommendations for financial performance improvement.
Works with appropriate teams to monitor, evaluate, and improve value proposition for products, revenue growth in all markets, manufacturing cost of product, SG&A and R&D spend, working capital management, and capital expenditures.
Prepares detailed and appropriate presentations for the Board of Directors use on a regular basis.
Monitors and reports on the financial performance of competitors, develops an understanding of financial issues as experienced by customers, and develops relationships with select customer CFOs.
Performs project work including financial modeling and projections.
Provides financial education for business area management as required, particularly in the area of customer financing of equipment.
Ensures compliance with all corporate approval, processing, legal, and reporting requirements.
Monitors all Business Area contracts for key milestones, compliance, payments, and renewals
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education
Knowledge and experience typically gained through a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
An advanced degree such as an MBA preferred.
Experience
Minimum 5 years experience.
Experience, preferably in public accounting.
Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting toward achievement of annual, long-term, and strategic business plans and goals.
Previous management experience in the financial area preferred.
Skills
An expert in the accounting requirements and practices generated by regulatory or professional outside agencies.
Requires strong financial system and computer skills.
Demonstrated ability to effectively lead people and projects.
Requires strong analytical skills, the ability to identify, define, and solve problems rapidly, and the ability to think and plan strategically.
Effective in writing financial assumptions and documents in user-friendly, technically correct language.
Able to make effective presentations to various audiences.
An equivalent competency level acquired through a variation of these qualifications may be considered.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
An advanced certification, such as a CPA is preferred.

Target Pay Range: $94,500.00 to $118,100.00 – Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base: 10.0%
