TEKsystems Hiring for 100% Remote HTML Email Developer Job at McLean, VA Full Time

Responsibilities:

• Create and develop emails with direction from client marketing/product leads

o Edit and advance existing email templates – modify template HTML & CSS, add new content blocks to existing templates, etc.

o Build new emails from scratch – produce HTML & CCS, create content blocks, etc.

o Incorporate light AMPscript (e.g., name personalization, limited dynamic content, updates to footers, support for deep linking and analytics tracking, link encoding)

o Perform simple list segmentation in Salesforce Marketing Cloud instance

o Manage FTP files

• Deliver all assets with technical consistency and on-time
• Possess an understanding of our client’s brand guidelines, visual identity, and voice & tone – support in updating email materials to meet these brand standards
• Participate in the quality control process, jointly reviewing assets prior to finalization as to ensure the highest level of quality across all creative and technical elements
• Support pod team members throughout the entire process, from concept to delivery, as to ensure the successful deployment of email campaigns
• Assimilate direction from marketing team leads to support of department strategies

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Information Sciences, Computer Sciences or similar field
• At least 2+ years of professional experience developing responsive emails using HTML & CSS

o Experience working with dynamic templates

• Experience with backend databases (SQL)
• Experience working in a fast-paced, Agile environment
• Basic analytical knowledge/experience, with rudimentary (or better) ability to draw insights from email analytics
• Experience working with email marketing automation tools
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with ability to work in close partnership with the Team Manager, designer(s), and other partners (internal and external)
• Well organized and effective at time management
• Must be able to work standard East Coast hours

Preferred Qualifications:

• Nice to have – Experience working with Salesforce Marketing Cloud
• AMPscripting experience is a plus, but not required as long as one can learn AMPscript while in this role
• Nice to have – Familiarity working in ticketing system, such as Jira
• Experience with drip campaigns, A/B testing, data management and import/migration, and automation rules
• Experience working in a digital marketing agency environment

Non-Technical Skills: Great communication skills with the ability to work both collaboratively and independently
