DescriptionSwitcher is seeking an Accounting Manager with excellent business, communication, and analytical skills, enabling collaboration with various functions. The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail and desire to learn processes and systems. Reporting to Switcher’s Chief Financial Officer, tour Accounting Manager will play a key role in GL reconciliations, our monthly close process, compliance, financial reporting, budgeting, and other daily accounting functions. As Switcher’s Accounting Manager, primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and analysis at month-end close for revenue related accounts Be responsible for financial reporting including preparation of journal entries, accruals, deferrals and prepaid, month-end close and year-end close Perform account reconciliations for sub-ledger to general ledger account balance. Review and analyze BS and P&L accounts Analyze and reconcile GL bank accounts with monthly bank statements. Enter monthly journal transactions – check deposits, cash wires and fees. Research applicable and proper GAAP treatment and changes to ensure compliance. Maintain monthly schedules for liability accounts and prepare recurring/adjustment entries Monitor and analyze fixed and capital asset activity, maintain depreciation schedule, and prepare corresponding monthly entries Reconcile Payroll, benefits, and PTO records Analyze monthly sales tax activity Analyze monthly expenses and prepare accruals Support annual audit and tax requirements related to specific areas of responsibility Assist with external financial package and external reporting Assist with digital execution of company related documents, engagements, and proposals Assist with department software implementation (i. e. T&E tracking, sales tax reporting, etc) Assist with Budgeting process Manage expense report and T&E tracking Other daily and monthly tasks as needed RequirementsWhat You Bring to the Table You have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance You have 5 years of accounting experience You have a CPA Certification You have a strong background in running a close process You have advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to manipulate and digest mass amounts of data You have experience in QuickBooks Online and Concur preferred You’re self-motivated and self-managed – able to think independently, creatively, and opportunistically You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated understanding of accounting cycles You have the ability to adapt to changing work environments You’re resourceful in the completion of projects, meeting deadlines and effective at multitasking You have excellent written and verbal communication skills Who Will Love This JobYou’re detail-oriented – You have a keen interest in keeping the business financially accountable and you share that knowledge and information with the rest of the Finance division.
