Job Summary

Reporting to the COO Fueling Services, the successful incumbent is responsible for all the accounting and administrative functions for all of Swissport’s US consortium locations. . This role works closely with the Airline Consortium Committee Members, Swissport’s Fueling and Finance team.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and present the annual Consortium operating budget and Board/Management reports for 13 Consortium entities
• Responsible for the financial close process to include preparation of month end operating statements
• Planning, organizing and coordinating the annual audit with external auditors including preparation of US GAAP compliant financial statements

• Responsible for local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings

• As Consortium Treasurer, support the financial and administrative needs of each consortium President, Members, Trustees and Legal counsel

• Work with Consortium Fuel Committees in the development of short term or long range financial programs regarding capital requirements, tax issues, bond analysis and placements, investments and finally oversight of construction costs.
• Manage and maintain cash flow requirements
• Supervise and develop staff (5)

• All other duties as may be required.

Qualifications and Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree required, with Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or Engineering preferred, and an MBA or Master of Accounting being particularly attractive.
• A CPA designation is required.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressively increasing responsibilities in accounting and financial management, a minimum of 8 years of combined Public Accounting and Private Industry accounting experience within a multi-site business demonstrated experience in (Controller) managerial/supervisor role.

• Extensive knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and internal controls over financial reporting, including prior responsibility for leading financial audits, preferably in Big 4 accounting firm, interpreting and implementing accounting standards, and developing MD&A, footnotes and disclosures.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Proficient in the use of SAP, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• English fluency required.
• Availability for travel when required (approximately 5%-10%).
