Superior Felt & Filtration Looking for Financial Analyst at McHenry, IL Full Time

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth financial modeling analyses intended to support decision-making by management. Utilize Crystal Reports and SQL database reporting tools.
• Track all functional projects spending as needed including accruals and analyze actuals compared to plan, forecasts and prior year.
• Assist in building and maintaining financial databases for the annual budget process and monthly and quarterly financial reporting. This includes creating and maintaining a data governance process that ensures financial data reliability and accuracy.
• Assist with the development of financial plans and incremental cost/benefit analysis; as a key component of the budgeting process, assist with the implementation of systems that report on key financial ratios, metrics, and benchmarking criteria; prepare and periodically update long range financial projections.
• Assist in building and maintaining financial models with the use of advanced MS Excel formulas. Utilize Crystal Reports and SQL database reporting tools to automate reporting and analysis.
• Highlight trends and investigate root cause variance analysis.
• Support for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable as required.
• Focus on continuous improvement and automation of reporting and processes.
• Support VP of Finance operationally and with other projects as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience, Education, and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field.
• 2+ years of experience in Accounting & Finance.
• Must have good knowledge with balance sheets, income statements, cash flow and working capital analysis.
• Working knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Highly organized with the ability to complete multi-tasks in a timely manner.
• Organized with attention for detail.
• Experience working with Sage 100 ERP system, Crystal Reports, SQL Database, Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
