Required Skills and Experience:
Background in customer service and collections, including construction preliminary notices, mechanics liens, releases and waivers strongly preferred
Knowledge of fair debt, collection management and state commercial laws preferred
Understanding of bookkeeping and accounts management
Knowledge of construction lien laws preferred
Effective collaborator
Excellent verbal and written English communication abilities
Proficient computer skills – MS Office; Excel, AS400, Accounting Softwares
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast paced environment
Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to make timely decisions
Previous experience in the construction/equipment rental industry a plus
Responsibilities:
Responsible for collecting open accounts receivable for a specific territory
Partner with Sales and Operations personnel to ensure customers’ service needs are met
Maintain confidentiality of all corporate and member activities
Research payment and posting errors that affect the status payment
Follow through to ensure warranted collections are complete
