Description

The Accounts Payable Analyst II in the Shared Business Services (SBS) supports the AP Finance team. The role provides the opportunity to partner with Procurement, Global Treasury Operations, Global IT, and NA Controllers for NAI, Pigments and Advanced Materials. This role is responsible for processing incoming invoices, adhering to JSox regulatory controls, and performing analysis for achieving measurable departmental goals that align with and support Sun Chemical’s objectives.

• Organize and maintain supplier contact information, payment terms, and IRS W-9.
• Receive and process non-PO invoices, PO invoices, and disbursements into supplier accounts.
• Distribute internal reimbursement payments.
• Analyze anomalies and determine correct posting steps and workflow processes.
• Evaluate processes to recommend and implement ongoing improvements.
• Perform User Acceptance Testing.
• Perform necessary analysis and processes for all audit requests, both financial and JSox related.
• Perform other duties as requested by Team Lead and Management.
• Seek opportunities to improve AP and implement best practices.
• Participate in complex process improvement or problem resolution initiatives to drive consistency and sustainability within AP.
• Maintain positive work relationships with members of other teams to whom information is provided or from whom information is gathered.
• Assist in ensuring efforts of the SBS Finance Team support building strong vendor relationships.
• Assist in establishing and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with internal personnel (Controllers, Corporate, Departmental), and external customers to identify additional ways of ensuring customer satisfaction.

Position Requirements

• This position requires excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills necessary to interact with Procurement, Global Treasury Operations, IT Applications Support Team, and NA Controllers.
• Ability to maintain professional composure in a fast-paced and evolving work environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field strongly preferred.
