SUMMARY

This position is responsible for managing Summit’s global treasury activities including tax, banking, risk management (insurance) and balance sheet stewardship. The Director of Finance will be tasked with recommending and implementing global treasury management strategies. The position will also coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors to ensure the timely and accurate filing of all statutory requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Tax

· Ensure timely and accurate filling of global tax requirements including statutory audits

· Manage relationship with Summit’s global tax advisors

· Develop, evaluate and present tax improvement opportunities

· Streamline existing tax reporting processes

· Manage Research and Development Credit, I/C Disc and other tax structurues

· Ensure the timely and accurate payment of all tax liabilities

Banking

· Manage cash management plan to support global cash activities

· Review cash flow summaries and activity

· Manage global lines of credit

· Develop and implement payment mechanisms (pay cards, etc.) to support operations

Insurance

· Manage annual insurance review process excluding health insurance

· Evaluate coverage gaps and opportunities

· Support implementation of Captive Insurance alternative

Balance Sheet

· Strengthen balance sheet review stewardship processes

· Ensure that issues are addressed quickly and with transparency

· Review reconciliation process to ensure adequacy

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

· Five years experience as a senior global finance, accounting or treasury leader

· MBA or equivalent preferred

· CPA or equivalent preferred

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

· Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate global tax activities

· Experience developing treasury strategies and reviewing them with senior management

· Excellent organizational skills

· Demonstrated ability to lead a global organization
