Success Academy seeks a Senior Project Manager to partner primarily with our Human Resource teams to identify and lead opportunities across the HR functionsPosition: Senior Project ManagerLocation: New York, New York 10005Reporting: Reports to the Head of Project and Portfolio Management. SUMMARY The HCIS PMO Manager role will be a key contributor to our mission of driving innovation across the organization. Working with the HCIS team and their business partners, this role will be responsible for managing the intake, prioritization, coordination, implementation, and completion of a portfolio of projects and tasks to achieve key business goals. In doing so, this role will manage across all project/task stages to ensure delivery within time, cost, and quality specifications. And for large projects, this role will be responsible for creating and maintaining all project related information and managing cross-functional teams with responsibilities for project schedule and performance. RESPONSIBILITIES Management of all HCIS work requests (tasks, projects, programs, portfolio). Conducts and manages all HCIS requests by providing leadership and project management structures to the HCIS team and business partners. Works with these groups to create and document processes and requirements, estimate and allocate team time to requests; evaluate and create timelines or resource needs for future requests; manage scope and dependencies; monitor and manage work of team members; provide timely status updates; proactively mitigate risks and issues; and ensure that requests are delivered within time, cost, and quality specifications. Responsible for the benefits realization of requests by ensuring that the delivered product(s) and services comply with the agreed deliverables lists, scope, and any organizational procedures as defined. Management of change requests: Manages all HCIS changes to the scope, schedule, and cost using appropriate verification techniques to keep the project plan and overall project boards accurate, updated, and reflective of authorized changes. PMO Development: Works with our Technology PMO to develop and refine recommendations regarding project management structure, approach, tools, and reporting. Implements approved best practices working broadly with both business and technology for on-time/on-budget development and deployment. Influential Leadership: Builds rapport and provides direction to a high-performing team of technical analysts that don’t directly report to this position. Understands business partners’ operating process to effectively work in the prioritization of requests, establish expectations, provide awareness on risk and issues, and achieve operational excellence to exceed goals and objectives. Effective Communications: Communicates regularly and effectively with project stakeholders and maintains partnerships with key stakeholders to achieve a robust and sustainable governance model. Works broadly with both Business and Technology to ensure effective delivery across projects or programs. Communicates feedback to leadership as appropriate and positively represents the organization to customers and other external sources. Knowledge Management: Provides and maintains a structured system for documentation and metrics ensuring updates are timely and completed as part of the project/request; contributes to knowledge management capital through activities such as conducting lessons learned exercises, documenting deliverables, and the facilitation of Workday Workshops. Metrics & Reporting: Work with HCIS and stakeholders to develop, track, analyze and publish project and financial reports, scorecards, and program/project/task performance reports. Create transparency, measurability, and accountability to effectively manage deliveries. Use appropriate tools and techniques to monitor the project’s progress, identify and quantify variances, perform required corrective actions, and communicate to all stakeholders. Working with leadership, maintains a Portfolio roadmap that is aligned with appropriate stakeholders. Project manage large projects: Acts as project lead, creating and maintaining all project related information and managing cross-functional teams with responsibilities for project schedule and performance. Other duties as assigned. REQUIRED Experience: 3 years of previous Project Manager / PMO management experience, or similar experience, required. For reference, this should minimally include the management of 20 distinct tasks or projects for three or more different stakeholder groups. Experience with Workday either leading a project or within a PMO. Experience leading and participating in technical and cross-functional projects. Strong communication skills with all levels of the organization – both internal and external Strong interpersonal skills to support team building Previous functional/technical HCM, Benefits, and/or Payroll experience either as an employee or with a consulting/software organization. Ability to develop cooperative relationships to achieve results. Ability to establish alliances with other departments by recognizing dependencies. Ability to identify project risks/issues and create mitigation recommendations. Participates as part of a team, understanding the various work styles of others and their roles on the team. Demonstrates enthusiasm and commitment to the goals and objectives of the team. Embraces the entrepreneurial spirit through recognizing and capitalizing on opportunities to improve the organization.
