If you are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, have excellent communication and analytical skills, and are comfortable working with data this role is for you. We are looking for someone to join us on a 6-month contract basis. Ideally, this role would be located in New York, but we are open to remote candidates in the U.S. or Canada. This person will report directly to the Head of Business Operations.
Responsibilities
Participate in annual planning, long-term planning, rolling forecast, and variance process
Build, maintain and improve financial models to plan, measure and forecast the business performance
Partner with our data team and leaders of functions to develop financial and capacity plans in support of our scaling business
Establish and maintain relevant financial metrics to be provided as a dashboard for leaders, business partners, and board members
Act as a trusted advisor to key business stakeholders. Provide financial expertise and develop strategic insights that drive business decisions
Partner with our accounting team for month-end and quarter-end close reporting and budget
Requirements
5+ years of relevant experience
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or Economics with some knowledge of Accounting principles
Passion for analysis and finding actionable insights
Experience building financial and decision support models, along with strong analytical, problem-solving skills
Experience in a data-driven, analytically rigorous role, preferably with financial data. SQL knowledge is a plus.
High proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint (and Google Workspace equivalents)
Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Innate curiosity around finding insights that inform our strategy and the way we think about both our product and business.
