Job Details:

• Salary: $50.00-$60.00 per hour *DEPENDENT ON SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE*
• Location: Providence, RI
• Employment Type: Contract Approx. 1.5 years
• Workplace Type: 100% Remote
• Hours Per Week: 35 Hours per week (8AM-4PM)

Core function:

This is a hybrid position that requires both financial and project management skills. The primary focus of the position is to support a financial unit by providing both financial reporting and analysis and project management coordination.

Grant Project Management

• Coordinate with program and fiscal staff for grant development and monitoring
• Prepare, monitor and report on grant budget and expenditures related to UHIP. These expenditures may be the full grant or be in support of a larger grant. Analyze and explain any variances from budget to expenditures.
• Track project and meeting action items to insure timely completion to meet state and federal deadlines.
• Escalate issues, as needed, in order to meet grant deadline

Project Management

• Coordinate with Executive Office of Health and Human Services, Department of Human Services, HealthSource RI and Division of Information Technology staff to project manage the submission of advance planning documents for federal approval.
• Maintain calendars required for grant, advanced planning document and state budget submissions, monitoring and reporting.
• Project manage monthly financial document submissions including the verification of the correct federally approved cost allocation.
• Project manage contract amendment process to meet federal deadlines and insure all necessary federal and state forms are finalized.
• Project manage weekly/monthly meetings with program and/or finance staff to ensure coordination of meeting times, agendas and follow up on action items.
• Project manage UHIP sharepoint site for project management and audit preparation.

Technical Competencies:

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management
• Experience in financial roles involving budgeting, reporting, or grant management
• Experience in project management
• Experience in MS Office with intermediate excel, word and powerpoint skills
