Stepan Company seeks a solid hands-on professional to support foreign accounting operations using SAP. The key duties include being primary Corporate financial interface, coordinating closing deadlines, facilitating variation inquiries, resolving SAP related issues during and after month end closes. In addition, this role is also responsible for the following:
Support SAP Finance Team on implementation projects including, but not limited to, foreign roll-outs, upgrades, and optimizations. Support functional testing of upgrades, enhancements or transactions as needed.
Interface with foreign entities to ensure compliance and provide guidance to critical finance policies and procedures. Draw on knowledge and experience of SAP FI/CO processes to develop and maintain up-to-date procedures and best practices.
Qualifications
Knowledge of multinational manufacturing operations and accounting practices.
Hands-on user and configuration knowledge of SAP FI/CO, Costing, FA, and PS.
Solid Excel and Words skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent self-initiative and interpersonal skills.
Education
Bachelors Degree in Accounting with 7 plus years of progressive experience
CPA preferred but not required
