Teleworking employees are required to live in Minnesota or a bordering state in a county along the Minnesota state line.
This position is responsible for leading the Corporate audit discovery group, compliance, and data management programs. The position will utilize highly complex data analytics software to incorporate in the audit discovery and reporting. This position will also lead the audit analysis workpapers team for the corporate franchise tax and income and expense workpaper team. The specialist in this position must be capable of and is expected to perform, when assigned, all aspects of the compliance cycle including customer service, educations, tax policy, audit, and progressive enforcement.
Three (3) years of professional-level accounting or auditing experience;
AND
Any of the following from an accredited college or university:
OR
Certification (satisfactory completion of probation) as a Revenue Tax Specialist, Senior
Applicants who meet the above experience requirements will be further evaluated based on the following:
Knowledge of and experience with Minnesota Individual Income Tax laws, rules, administrative practices and operating procedures.
Knowledge of and experience with Minnesota Corporate Income Tax laws, rules, administrative practices and operating procedures.
Knowledge of Corporate Tax Division tax types, business functions, operations, and information systems.
Knowledge of the departments tax warehouse, SAS, and other query tools.
Experience in testing GenTax systems including the GenTax Discovery module, creating requirement documents, creating testing plans, coordinating testing.
Experience leading projects or teams.
Experience working with Excel templates.
Experience in analyzing, problem solving, and decision making.
Requires occasional moving of articles such as boxes, accounting records, laptop computer, and portable printer.

All individual income tax filing and payment obligations must be current prior to interviewing for this position.
