When disputes arise between certain state agencies and the people and entities they regulate, administrative law judges at DAL provide fair, prompt, and orderly adjudications. This announcement is to fill an Administrative Program Specialist-A vacancy within the Division of Administrative Law, and is limited to current, permanent employees of the Division of Administrative Law only. . The vacancy may be filled by detail to special duty or promotion. This position is in the General Jurisdiction section of DAL and is primarily responsible for docketing, scheduling and related case processing work for the Department of Public Safety and the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, along with any other areas assigned. . This position requires being organized, as the work is high volume and complex, and will require being able to provide functional supervision and clear instructions to Administrative Coordinators. The ideal candidate will have some work experience in a legal setting and possess the ability to multi-task. . SUBSTITUTIONS: Six years of full-time work experience in any field may be substituted for the required baccalaureate degree. .
