The STVP, Stanford Engineering Entrepreneurship Center, seeks a Finance and Administrative Manager to provide administrative and operational support to our unit. Reporting to the Executive Director, this position is critical in supporting our mission: to seek solutions to important global problems and educate leaders who will make the world a better place. You will help many diverse stakeholders and perform various simultaneous dutiesincludingsupporting the faculty and staff operating activities,routine financial transactions,andsupervisingand managingour student employees. Your responsibilities include:
Independently implement, administer, and evaluate day-to-day activities of the unit, function or program by identifying and executing tasks and objectives, making recommendations that impact policies and programs, and assigning resources to achieve the goals of the program.
Collect and analyze data, create reports, review and explain trends, formulate and evaluate alternative solutions and/or recommendations to achieve the goals of the program or function.
Analyze and interpret policies; develop, revise and implement procedures for program or function.
Represent the program or function as the key contact and subject matter expert within STVP, the department or school.Commit resources and provide information and/or training.May also represent the program or function to external/internal stakeholders and constituencies.
Organize and/or participate in outreach activities that may include developing communications and training, planning/promoting events and/or conferences,recommending vendors for services, overseeing the production and distribution of materials, coordinating logistics, and serving as liaison with internal and external vendors.
Process and monitor routine financial transactions, including researching and resolving discrepancies.May participate in development of budgets, monitor, and approve expenditures.May perform limited forecasting and provide recommendations that determine the budget.

Education & Experience (Desired):
Has basic financial and accounting knowledge.
Experience with and/or ability to quickly learn Oracle financial system, Excel, and Google sheet.
MS Office, Outlook, and Google Drive experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements:*
Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
Frequently stand/walk, sitting, grasp lightly/fine manipulation.
Occasionally use a telephone.
Rarely lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh 11-20 pounds.

Pay Range:
The expected pay range for this position is $64,480 to $120,000 per annum.
Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.
