Group: FinanceJob Level: 4,5Job Family: ProfessionalOvertime: IneligibleGeneral AccountabilityReports Directly To: ControllerReports Functionally To: ControllerPerforms a variety of accounting functions including maintaining the general ledger, assisting in preparing income and balance sheet statements, and detailed analysis of transactions or balances.Direct Reports Include: N/AImmune Specific Accountabilities- Recognizes and understands flight/product safety critical parts and processes.- Responsible for immediately reporting flight/product safety concerns.- Participates in proactive risk analysis of flight/product safety critical parts and processes.Specific Accountabilities- Classifies and/or reviews recording of routine to complex accounting transactions.- Prepares financial reports in a timely and accurate manner.- Performs reconciliation of accounts from the general ledger by researching on-line and record sources and preparing “correcting journal entries” as required.- Prepares and updates documentation of transaction processing and system processes.- Ensures accounting systems and procedures are in compliance with company policies, acceptable accounting practices and applicable regulations.- Interacts with and advises various functional groups in order to correct problem situations.- Assists with the preparation of month-end and year-end closings.- Assists in the collection of data for periodic external or internal audits.- Produces a variety of ad-hoc reporting.- Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.- Carries out special projects as assigned.- Performs daily invoicing as needed. Analyze details of daily invoices, and work with others to make the necessary corrections.- Provide analytical support to credit and collections as needed.- Assist with providing pricing and cost analysis by part, part family, customer, parts processed by cell, and sales rep.- Assist with the data collection, analysis and formation of the annual business units profit plan.Technical Requirements- Working knowledge of integrated financial systems.- Good planning, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, decision making, oral and written communication skills.- Working knowledge of PC’s in the current company operating system environment.- Excel skills are required.Background InformationThe typical minimum level of education to perform this job competently is equivalent to high school completion or equivalent to high school completion with specialized training. The person can read text of medium difficulty requiring an understanding of basic concepts. He/she may be expected to write text intended to communicate non-technical information and, display command of spelling, grammar, punctuation and basic composition. People working at this level can be required to have certain specialized skills, and be able to comprehend somewhat complicated procedures.Directly/indirectly related work experience representing continuous learning and required for someone to perform this job competently is one to three years.
