Role and Responsibilities
An accounting clerk is responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports and recording a wide range of transactions. Duties include providing administrative assistance and preparing statements that confirm the accuracy of database information. Ultimately a successful accounting clerk should be familiar with all accounting procedures, have a natural ability to work with numbers, and ensure that the airport’s daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively.
Qualifications And Education Requirements
Accounting clerk would have at least 1 year of experience working under a business analyst or CPA. Education would include at least a high school diploma or equivalent and formal courses in college level basic accounting. An Associate’s degree in Accounting or an Accounting Certification may be substituted for the year of experience.
