*Position Requirements*
* High school graduate or equivalent required
* Minimum
of 2 years claims _*ADJUDICATION *_related experience in ambulatory,
acute care hospital, HMO, or IPA environment
* Knowledge of
payment methodologies for: Professional (MD), Hospital, Skilled
Nursing Facilities, and Ancillary Services
* Knowledge and
understanding of timeliness and payment accuracy guidelines for
commercial, senior and Medi-Cal claims
* Knowledge of compliance
issues as they relate to claims processing
* Experience in
interpreting provider contract reimbursement terms desirable
*
Ability to identify non-contracted providers for Letter of Agreement
consideration
* Data entry experience
* Training on basic
office automation and managed care computer systems
* COVID-19
Vaccine (Facility Guideline):Required + Booster – No Exemptions,

Medical/Religious Exemptions and Declinations Allowed
*Submittal Requirements*
* Resume with previous work

* Explanations of any work history gaps of 90+ days
within the chronology of the resume
* RTO – if none, please
specify “none” so we know it wasn’t overlooked
* Interview
availability for the following 3-5 business days
* Copy of COVID
card/vaccinations & boosters
* Copy of Drivers License (front and
back)

*POSITION SUMMARY*
* The claims examiner reports
directly to the claims manager. They are primarily responsible for the
processing functions (operation, adjudication, and payment) of UB-92
and HCFA-1500 claims that are received from PHP affiliated medical
groups and hospitals for HMO patients.
*Prior to start date
you will need the following sent to the recruiter and
credentialing:*
* Two forms of ID; one must be a photo
ID
* Photo for Badge ID without filters on white background
* Immunization Documentation; Covid, Flu (current season), HEP B,
MMR, TDaP, Varicella
* Current Yearly Physical
* TB TEST;
Two step or Quantiferon as requested by facility.
* Background
Check and Urine Drug Screens are ordered after receiving job offers
* Credentialing will require other documentation.
* Must be
fully credentialed prior to start date.
