Staff Accountants Looking for Accountant at Philadelphia, PA Full Time

Staff Accountant – Glenside, PA

Our client, an independent educational consulting firm that offers administrative and accounting support for schools located in the Glenside, PA area with clients throughout the Commonwealth, is looking for a full-time Staff Accountant.

We are seeking a full-time Staff Accountant with strong general ledger maintenance and customer service skills.

This position will work directly with staff at client schools, assisting with the management of their business office function under the direction of a member of the organization’s leadership team.

RESPONSIBILITIES of the Staff Accountant:
This is a hands-on role that entails responsibility for the accurate recording of financial transactions and faithful implementation of internal controls, as well as effective communication with school staff and vendors. Specific tasks will vary with the client but may include:

• General ledger maintenance, including recording of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll journal entry and maintenance of deferrals and accruals;
• Preparing monthly financial statements and reports;
• Assisting with the preparation of reports to local and state agencies;
• Assist with annual audit work papers.

REQUIREMENTS for the Staff Accountant:

• 2+ years of accounting and/or bookkeeping experience preferred, but our client is willing to train the right person.
• Computer proficiency: QuickBooks and/or Intact, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams.
• Experience with financial statement preparation is helpful but not required.

The Staff Accountant position offers a salary range of $50,000 to $60,000 commensurate with experience along with an excellent benefits package that includes medical, dental, life, STD, LTD, 401(k) match, PTO Days, etc.
