The Programming Financial and Business Planning team at Charter Spectrum is responsible for supporting the operational and financial planning and analysis needs of the complex $12B video programming business.
Our group has a great deal of exposure to senior management, and has the responsibility for managing and analyzing video programming expense, profitability, and related customer and financial metrics.
We support executive and Board of Directors’ ing, provide programming assurance to mitigate risk and help support programming deal negotiations with video networks and content providers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage budget/forecast/long-range planning functions, develop models, drive ing and analysis of $12B in yearly video programming spend
- Manage the budget/forecast/monthly ing of Pay Per View and Video on Demand expense
- Act as key member of Finance team that creates and publishes monthly financial ing summaries vs budget/forecast for CFO and other members of executive leadership team
- Provide oversight of complex data management, including reviewing, analyzing, providing solutions and visibility of this data to department leadership
- Analyze and validate video cost and related metrics. Serve as cross-functional liaison to multiple vertical business units, providing business support for video cost, margin analyses and new products and packages.
- Ensure complete analysis and understanding of interdependencies and business risks that could impact or be impacted by the delivery of proof of concepts, new products, services, processes and/or support technologies
- Continually improve our processes to drive more efficient / effective execution
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

- Ability to analyze and interpret data, and make decisions and solve problems
- Strong understanding of Accounting and Finance theory and practice

- Advanced Excel skills in building and adapting financial models and performing variance analysis
- Effective presentation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, as well as in a collaborative and dynamic team environment
- Superior knowledge of software applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Access, etc.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
Required Related Work Experience
- Accounting/Finance experience – 5+
- Knowledge of telecommunications industry preferred but not required
