Primary Responsibilities
Leads the monthly forecasting, annual operating plan and 5-year strategic planning processes.
Assesses and approves business expenditures based on established budgets and in the context of business financial performance.
Conducts variance analysis against budgeted and forecasted financial performance,
Creates business scenario models and return-on-investment analyses to support business strategy, new product development, resource allocation and achievement of financial objectives.
Determines and communicates key financial drivers and makes recommendations to senior leadership to ensure informed decision making.
Reviews and analyzes financial reports, P&L, balance sheet, and cash flows for accuracy; prepares reports on findings to make recommendations to management.
Provides reports to functional or operational management on financial analysis results and recommendations.
Advises on operations finance activities, such as programs, pricing, sales, and supply chain.
Generates forecasts and analyzes trends in sales, finance, operations, supply chain, programs, engineering and other areas of business for financial and strategic planning purposes.
Consolidates and reports financial results and forecasts to senior leadership and corporate headquarters.
Develops and maintains financial information systems.
Required Education and Experience
4-year degree from an accredited university in Accounting, Finance or related field OR a combination of education and relevant experience
A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
Government contracting experience
MBA preferred
Required Qualifications
US Citizenship
Strong knowledge of fiscal policy.
Ability to prepare and outline complex models into simple terms that others can use.
Solid ability to analyze trends to reduce financial risks and make spending decisions.
Knowledge of Oracle ERP a plus.
