The Sr Manager, Commercial Finance and Pricing provide a consistent approach and strategic thinking for all supplier pricing and financial planning decisions. The role is responsible for delivering gross margin performance through effective pricing strategies, sound volume, revenue and margin planning practices, and efficient management of supplier and SGWS investments in the market.
Primary Responsibilities
Review and analyze supplier performance to identify and recommend opportunities for improved P&L delivery (Rev/GP/GM%), mix (brand/size/discount), effective pricing and promotional activities, and inventory management
Provide ROI analysis for any internal programs; assist in making necessary adjustments to any program
Operate in partnership with Trade Development as local supplier management team and understand all aspects of our financials related to the supplier(s)
Provide analysis and support as required for supplier reviews and internal business reviews
Develop and maintain local pricing strategy that ensures regulatory compliance, delivery of supplier brand strategy/suggested retail price and adherence to company pricing policies
Analyze external price, promo and trade trends (customer, consumer, and competitor), and internal financials (e.g., pricing, trade spend) to make recommendations that will profitably drive growth across price, trade, promotions, and an assortment
Maintain and reconcile price supports to deliver profit requirements and minimize supplier bill-back issues and assist in negotiating price support changes
Implement all pricing changes and manage all pricing procedures, new item set up, allocated items, pre-sell, and other special pricing
Develop and manage all price books and pricing calendars
Provide proactive management of fund balances through funding requirements and spend analysis against budgets and agreements
Maintain NDA contributions to align with contractual obligations
Provide ongoing analysis of spends to drive effective use of trade spend
Oversee A/R and address major concerns
Responsible for developing annual supplier budget and supplier LMF planning which supports the internal AOP (Vol/Rev/GP)
Responsible for operationalizing supplier budgets and partnering with the trade development team to identify opportunities, mitigate risk, and deliver on supplier goals and objectives
Support the implementation and utilization of standardized financial reporting and pricing tools and processes to ensure consistency and efficiencies in performance reporting and analytics
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Additional Primary Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Finance, Business or quantitative field of study; Master s degree preferred
5 years of increasing responsibility with an emphasis on commercial finance to include P&L management, financial analysis, forecasting, and pricing management/strategy
CPG experience preferably in the adult beverage industry
Knowledge of applicable state regulations and adult beverage market dynamics
Physical Demands
Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or adding machine
Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping
May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
