Sodexo Corporate Services is looking for a Senior Manager, Segment Finance to join our team at Fannie Mae in Washington DC! Sodexo manages the Food and the Facility services. This position will have direct financial oversight of 4 facilities.
Duties of the role will include but not limited to:
Manage the day-to-day accounting and reporting
Ensure integrity of business line internal financial reporting
Apply GAAP and objective accounting judgment to knowledge of contractual agreements
Work in a team environment to ensure department deadlines are met
Work proactively to prevent problems, identify and implement innovative solution
Maintain company databases as necessary
Foster cooperation toward achieving department and organizational goals
Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
Manage the weekly and monthly close process, including month-end journal entries, accounts payable, balance sheet reconciliations and reporting
Manage the client billing
Identify and implement process improvements
Provide financial coaching and support to Operations Team
Approves purchase orders
Ideal candidate will be highly motivated, detail-oriented manager with 5-7 years of accounting experience. Position requires candidate to pass Fannie Mae’s background check. Position is a remote position with 5-10% travel.
This position offers a traditional Business & Industry, Predominately M-F schedule. Accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation per year (first year pro-rated based on date of hire). Medical Benefits beginning date of hire, and 401K with company match eligible.
Position Summary:
Has in-depth knowledge in finance for the assigned Segment and basic knowledge of related disciplines. Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions. Works independently; receives minimal guidance. May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or have accountability for ongoing activities or objectives. Handles general accounting and financial reporting, cost accounting, auditing, budgeting and forecasting, and systems individually and in consultation with Centers of Excellence as appropriate. Assists in providing oversight and direction to Unit Finance. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May represent the level at which career may stabilize for many years or even until retirement.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Basic Education Requirement – Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience – 5 years
Basic Functional Experience – 3 years
