Sodexo is seeking a highly motivated individual for Construction Finance Manager to support our client, University Hospitals located in Cleveland, OH . This position interfaces with Sodexo and University Hospitals’ Finance Teams, requiring strong financial acumen, attention to detail and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will display strong problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude.
The successful candidate will:
set up and maintain projects in Smartsheet
enter costs into a web-based application to enable full visibility of project budget variances, committed costs and open committed balances
escalate unfavorable variances to the Project and Construction Management Team
review and coordinate project close out to submit incentive billings to Client.
support entries of construction information into Power BI
provide volume and cost analysis monthly for projects and for the overall system
forecast weekly and annual budgets
coordinate a cash forecast for our client with Project Managers and Directors of Operations
document standard operating procedures and map financial processes as they relate to operations

are proficient in MS-based software including Word, Excel (Advanced), and Outlook (Smartsheet and Oracle experience preferred)

are experienced with managing large volumes of data, preferably in a project management environment
have related experience, with preference given to the construction industry

Position Summary
Has in-depth knowledge in financial planning and basic knowledge of related disciplines. Solves complex problems using economic research and studies of rates of return, depreciation and investments. Analyzes profit-and-loss income statements and prepares reports and recommendations to management. Interprets forecasts and analyzes trends in sales, finance and other areas of business. Researches economic progressions to assist the organization’s financial planning. Creates financial models of “what if” scenarios for future business planning decisions in areas such as new product development, new marketing strategies, etc.; takes a new perspective on existing solutions. Works independently; receives minimal guidance. May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or have accountability for ongoing activities or objectives. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May represent the level at which career may stabilize for many years or even until retirement.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement – Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience – 5 years
Basic Functional Experience – 3 years
