Position Overview
The Onshore Business Controlling function for Siemens Gamesa North America (NA) is responsible for consolidating, analyzing, and reporting on the financial business and performance of Onshore Wind Power. We are looking for a dynamic, proactive, and highly motivated intern to support the financial reporting and controlling activities of the team. The North American business is expansive and diverse, and this position provides the opportunity to engage in a complex set of financial topics as well as gain an understanding of the business operations.

Responsibilities
Support team tool and system implementations SAC (cost center & headcount controlling tool), Impact (project planning tool), team processes from SAP migration
Lead the creation and/or update of team desktop operating procedures across all team members
Develop standardized management summary to support internal forecast meetings with CFO (to include all relevant KPIs and explanations)
Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting / planning processes
Perform semi-complex accounting/financial activities such as preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and account analysis
Support the monthly and quarterly close cycle including internal & external auditor requirements
Work with cross-departmental teams & financial management
Required Knowledge, Skills, Education, Experience and Abilities
Current student working towards an Accounting or Finance degree (3.2 GPA or above)
Basic understanding of Managerial & Financial Accounting
Demonstrated leadership and decision-making ability within a team environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to meet deadlines, multi-task, and prioritize
Intermediate experience with MS Office; especially Excel (complex formulas), PowerPoint
High quality of work and accuracy as well as attention to detail

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Minor or second Major in MIS
Previous experience working in a business controlling environment
Experience with SAP, Think-Cell, Alteryx
