The ideal candidate will have strong financial, planning, analysis, and reporting experience. This candidate will also possess strong problem-solving skills, be deadline driven with a strong bias for speed, accuracy, and business partnership.
The Finance Manager will report to the Controller and will be instrumental in providing support to corporate reporting & forecasting.
Responsibilities
Communicate operational performance trends, historical results and forecasts using appropriate templates and metrics.
Create reports that will be used by senior leadership, business development, and operations.
Provide monthly/quarterly forecast for Business Areas in conjunction with directors
Analyze monthly/quarterly results & variances to forecast
Provide standard reporting & insights on data within reports
Ad hoc analysis
Postmortem with project closeouts (e.g., revenue/margin realization versus contract)
Develop/evolve revenue/margin/multiplier analyses by project, client, business line (practice area), office, region, etc.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
Minimum of 8 years’ experience, at least two (2) years in supervisory or management positions
Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, analysis, reporting, and budgeting
Experience in a dynamic, medium to large company environment (architecture engineering construction industry with multiple branch offices preferred),
Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
Preferred:
Good working knowledge of AEC Accounting norms, FAR, Federal Contracting, etc.
MBA
Experience in financial, planning, and analysis roles; developing financial models and scenario analyses
Demonstrated ability to cultivate cross-functional relationships, work in a growing, continually evolving environment, and drive financial business initiatives.
Excellent analytical skills combined with high integrity, keen business judgment, ability to communicate effectively with senior management, yet work well with all levels of staff.
Motivated, with ability to thrive in environments of change (growth) and ambiguity.
Demonstrated success in working under tight business and corporate deadlines
Strong problem resolution skills
Must be detail oriented, with the ability to multi-task and can work independently
