The Facility Manager manages the day-to-day operations of the facility that may include providing customers with knowledge based information, rental sales, securely maintaining customer data, being the face of the facility, accepting home or business goods into storage, maintaining inventory levels, adhering to company standard policies and procedures, lead tracking and follow up, and promoting the facility. As well as, ensuring the property is secure and clean at all times.

A self storage manager typically has a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:

• Communicating competently with potential customers about rates and promotions, answering questions about rental terms and conditions, and resolving any customer service issues that arise during their interactions with the company.

• Contacting tenants for issues that include but are not limited to such as past due accounts, auction notification, and concerns with units.

• Understanding and executing the company security procedures and best practices for interacting with customers.

• Conducting regular inspections of the facility to ensure it is clean and well maintained.
• Maintaining and inputting records of daily deposits, tenant information, all transactions, tenant move-ins, lead generation and activities related to the facility.
• Insuring facility maintenance and needed repairs are communicated and completed.
• Treating all customers with courtesy and professionalism.

• Collecting funds due by phone and in person, and ensuring payments are posted correctly to the tenant’s account.

• Complete daily walk through inspections which includes checking locks, removing overlocks, and cleaning units as needed, along with inspecting the exterior area and grounds.

• Conduct limited retail sales following proper cash management procedures.
• Open and close the office daily.
• Preparation of lease packets for all new tenants, and maintenance of existing leases.
• Attend the manager’s meeting with full knowledge of what is happening at your property

Example: economic occupancy, move ins/move outs, maintenance needed requests.

• Fill out incident reports, work orders and document all unusual occurrences for the Area Manager to submit to the Director of Operations.

• Be able to lift at least 50lbs on rare occasions.
• Most importantly, be trustworthy and honest.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 – $16.00 per hour
