Shawano School District Looking for Finance Manager at Shawano, WI Full Time

The Shawano School District is seeking a full-time Finance Manager for its Business Unit at the Shawano School District Office. The Finance Manager will manage district bookkeeping, purchasing and inventory management, preparing invoices, monitoring expenses, aiding in enforcement of fiscal policies, submit grant claims, perform monthly cash reconciliations for all district bank accounts, and other duties in alignment with the strategic vision of the district.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Administrative Management: Manage all deliveries to the district and processing to appropriate designations; Manage district inventory system to ensure district supplies and equipment are kept in accordance with Board policy and administrative rules; Manage users and vendors in Skyward Financial software; Maintain surplus equipment list, advertises surplus equipment, and oversees disposal of surplus equipment in accordance with Board policy and administrative rules.

• Fiscal Management: Manage and complete as necessary daily batch updates for all approved purchase orders and ensure orders are placed; Manage and process all district and Fund 21 Donation accounts payable programs; Manage and process all district and Fund 21 Donation cash receipts programs; Manage and processes all district and activity account accounts receivables; Train and assist all new staff on the budgeting and purchasing processes; Assist all staff with Skyward entries for both budget requisitions and purchasing requisitions; Manage and complete annual paper supply and center supply bids and orders; Assists with preparation of the annual budget; Work with all supervisors to ensure proper budget preparation/management, building and department purchasing, and all other fiscal operations; Reconcile month-end bank statements and assists with year-end reconciliation; Prepare journal entries for processing as necessary; Assist with the annual fiscal year-end audit; Prepare and process bank wires as necessary and directed; Manage and apply the State of Wisconsin WUFAR accounting system; Manage and prepare all district Medicaid state and federal reports and reporting requirements; Establish checks and balances within the financial system/office and their own work to ensure; Prepare grant claims; Claim WI Fuel Tax Refund for bus and maintenance fuel

• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the building administrator and/or supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Associates Degree or higher in Accounting (preferred).
2. Three years related work experience in accounting (preferred).
3. Proficiency in Skyward software (preferred) or ability to quickly learn and fully utilize accounting software.
