SPECIAL FINANCE MANAGER (USED CARS – BAD CREDIT)
We are currently a medium size used car dealership named Seaside Automotive located in Oceanside. We currently stock about 40 – 50 vehicles but we are looking to grow! That said, we have a large facility right on Coast Highway where 20,000+ vehicles drive by daily, just 1 block from the epicenter of downtown Oceanside, 0.3 miles from the Pacific Ocean and the Oceanside Pier and just 1.8 miles from the main gate of Camp Pendleton Military Base! We are “the” closest dealer to Camp Pendleton main gate! Our facility is almost 1.5 acres in size, can hold almost 200 vehicles and has 15 service bays. We are a very tech savvy dealership and on the cutting edge of technology for optimum workflow. We are family owned and operated. Our family has been in North County San Diego for the last 35 years and we have had used car dealerships in Oceanside for the last 20 years. We have an excellent reputation in town and are currently expanding.
These are unpredictable times that we are all living in during this pandemic so we decided to mention our family’s stance on some current events especially related to the pandemic in the instance you would “want” or “not want” to work with a family such as ours. CHRISTIANS: We are Christians. Being a Christian does not mean that we are perfect. We are all imperfect but we do strive to have good morals such as being honest with our customers, lenders, vendors, etc. We strive to be kind unto others and try to live by our company slogan which is “Our goal is to honor God everyday in all we do!” To clarify, we do not discriminate based on religion.
REPUBLICANS: We are Republicans. We do have countless friends and family members that are democrats and we love them equally but we do operate our company from a conservative Republican standpoint. To clarify, we do not discriminate based on political party preference.

MASKS: We prefer not to wear masks yet we are very respectful to our clients should on a per client basis they prefer to wear a mask or have us wear a mask or both then we respectfully support our clients and put a mask on. JOB DESCRIPTION: We are a family of many generations of car dealers. We are deal makers. We specialize in challenged credit, military, first time buyers, etc. Most of our clients are “get me done’s”. In other words, they have crummy credit and haven’t been able to buy a vehicle elsewhere so if we can get them approved, then we can probably sell them a car. It is not “easy” to get these type customers approved or shall I say, get them approved with a good call from one or more of our lenders where we can actually make a strong gross. Our owner is a beast of an auto finance professional with an extremely deep knowledge and skillset in automotive special finance. That said, he is too busy running the dealership. He oversees our buying, service dept., body shop, business office, and the managers in each of those departments along with our real estate, company growth, and the list goes on. We need a SPECIAL FINANCE MANAGER that can help hang all of the paper, and fund all of the deals. We could write a book on the last sentence but if you are a true SPECIAL FINANCE MANAGER, you know what that all entails. This is a key position in our dealership and we need like minded counterparts who are able to problem solve and get results. We are constantly looking to find the best ways to help our customers get into a car. Being creative really helps get this job done. Also being flexible to do whatever needs to be done for the success of the dealership as a whole. We need an extremely skilled individual to handle the finance management needs for the dealership. Our hire will be held accountable for extremely strong results with regards to fast fundings, high volume, high gross averages, etc. We can discuss in greater detail in an interview.
QUALIFICATIONS:
*Must be extremely tech savvy: Our entire company is set up in the cloud. We are VERY advanced technologically. Applicants “must” be able to operate and navigate desktop computers, laptops, tablets, smartphones, econtracts, apps, printers, and more at an extremely high level of proficiency. If you are not on the cutting edge of technology, we politely ask that you do not apply for this position. We have a business model that we are currently scaling for mammoth size volume both in our market area and outside of our market area and “need” our special finance manager to be on the cutting edge of technology with us every step of the way. Any current or prior background in web design, app design, computer programming, hardware, software, integrations, problem solving, etc. is a huge plus.
*Must be familiar with dealer software such as DMS systems, CRM systems, CUDL, etc. We currently use DeskManager, WebManager, AutoManager, Karpower, DealerTrack, Selly, Deal Writer, Dealer Center, and others so experience with all or any of those is a plus.
*Must be fluent in reading and writing and speaking in English. Approximatly 99% of our clients prefer to speak English and 99% of our documents are written in English so we need our Special Finance Manager to communicate with them flawlessly verbally and in writing.
*We prefer that our employees live within close proximity to our dealership so that commuting to and from work never interferes with their schedule or ability to arrive early or stay late on a per day or per circumstance or per customer basis.
*Local lender knowledge and relationships: We use several local sub-prime lenders so knowledge of these programs and relationships with the lenders is essential.
*We have a friendly, professional, family oriented, awesome work environment. We are firm on no drugs, no drama, no foul language.
*Must be a self starter and self finisher and require zero babysitting. A-Z completion mentality required.
*5 years professional experience in “automotive special finance” minimum
*Must know how to build and hold front end and back-end gross
*Must be professional and have a professional appearance
*Must have current CA DMV salesperson license
*Must be HIGHLY organized. OCD preferred.

*Must be on time
*All of the above are qualifications for this position. Ultimately, this position must PRODUCE high funded deal volume and high gross averages and do so in a legal and ethical manner.
COMPENSATION: Our pay plans are generous. They consist of base pay, plus commissions. At our current volume and gross, our special finance manager should make $6,000 – $8,000/month with growth potential as the dealership expands.
SCHEDULE: Full-time. Applicants must have an open schedule and the willingness and ability to work full time up to 6 days per week. The work week usually is around 50-60 hours per week depending on workload. We stagger shifts so that employees are not overworked. We are currently CLOSED SUNDAYS.
