Schreiber Foods Hiring for Fixed Assets and Capital Projects Manager (Remote or Hybrid) Job at Green Bay, WI Full Time

Provides leadership, vision and direction for the Fixed Asset and Capital Project Team. Ensures all financial data is reported in accordance with GAAP and other statutory requirements. Ensures that the proper accounting policies and controls are in place to safeguard company assets. Ensures that fixed asset and lease systems are set up in such a manner to accurately reflect status of Schreiber Foods’ assets and liabilities.

This position can be 100% remote, or if you are in the Green Bay, WI area, we offer hybrid schedules at our Home Office. The hybrid schedule is 2 days onsite at Home Office and 3 days working remotely.

What you’ll do:

• Coaches and develops Projects / Fixed Assets Team, including development/coordination of priorities, allocating resources, assessing, and developing partners’ skills, aiding in career planning.
• Ensures timely and accurate recording of projects, leases and fixed assets including all addition, transfer, retirement and updates.
• Provides advice regarding proper accounting treatment and internal controls relating to projects, leases and fixed assets processes. Researches and implements new accounting pronouncements. Maintains internal controls to ensure safeguarding of company assets, adherence to company policies and compliance with GAAP and/or statutory requirements.
• Provides technical support for the Fixed Assets team regarding system initiatives. Provides functional representation and testing support for all systems upgrades, patches, etc.
• Researches and implements best practices and opportunities for improvement. Provides financial analysis support to internal departments and partners as requested.
• Ensures standard policies and procedures are in place and appropriately documented.
• Ensures fixed assets (both tangible and intangible) are reported accurately and timely and appropriately depreciated.
• Maintains communications with internal customers and regarding processes, answering questions and providing assistance. Serves as or provide applicable functional resource/project team member for special project and process improvement teams.

What you need to succeed:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 6-8 years experience in accounting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop staff.
• Ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively.
• Proficiency with PC applications, and MS Office products, ERP systems.
• Ability to travel up to 5% (training, seminars, plant visits). For those working remote, travel expectations will be higher with frequent visits to the corporate office especially within the first year.
• Must have a reliable internet connection (minimum 10 mb download speed) at home for remote and hybrid positions.
