The Opportunity

Joining a Finance team & reporting directly to Head of Finance, the Sales Finance Operations Manager will ensure that Samsung makes sound strategic decisions based on analysis and critical thinking, backed up by data. This position will work cross functionally and closely with sales management to track business metrics and develop financial processes for the Smart TV Ad business. He/she will work closely across Sales, Ad Operations, Headquarters, subsidiary Finance Teams, Engineering and Product to ensure a full end-to-end financial support on all aspects of the business. This position can be located in NYC, Chicago, Atlanta or MTV and requires occasional domestic & international travel

Role and Responsibilities

• Lead team of three functionally to manage monthly financial closing and billing process for TV, Mobile, DOOH and other business lines.

  a) Proactively partner with clients in performing campaign result reconciliation, followed by timely submissions of invoice to the clients.
  
  b) Partner with CSM, Sales and vertical finance lead to drive resolutions around the campaign execution issues that potentially could incur financial impact.
  
  c) Manage sales order processes into Samsung NERP to support financial closing process and manage necessary approval process.
  

• Manage workflow and approval process for new customer account creation and subsequent credit management process.
  
  a) Partner with CSM, Sales and vertical finance lead to support development of resolutions around the campaign execution issues that could affect billing result.
  
  b) Manage sales order processes into Samsung NERP to support financial closing process and manage necessary approval process.
  
• Manage partner onboarding process in collaboration with Sales and Samsung Procurement.
  
  a) Lead VERS process to ensure compliance with data requirements and internal approval requirement.
  
  b) Partner with AR to establish the cash-in to cash-out process and reporting process for DOOH business.
  
  c) Liaise with AP to facilitate revenue share payment process for DOOH screen partners.
  
  d) Provide financial administration support to business operation for 3rd party service contract process.
  
• Lead as subject matter expert in providing timely and effective support or adequate guidance for NASB Ad Sales & Marketing organization
  
  a) Manage partnership with Samsung AP team to ensure effective support to drive resolutions in employee expense matters in Concur / GTNE.
  
  b) Collaborate with Samsung Vendor AP team to ensure timely processing for Vendor invoices for payment process within NERP payment module and to ensure compliance with Samsung AP policy.
  
• Provide support to Accounts Receivable team in managing organizational collection KPIs
  
  a) Providing support to address incoming client’s inquiries on outstanding invoices or billing details.
  
  b) Provide support in daily cash management to map the payment with outstanding sales orders
  
• Maintain documentation including standard operating procedures, and reference for employees within Confluence

Skills and Qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience in managing financial administration.
• Media industry experience preferred, but not a must.
• 3 years of prior experience in managing finance functions.
• Knowledge of financial system such as SAP, Hyperion, CONCUR and other financial systems,
• Strong analytical skills; ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations.
• Possess expert problem solving and process management skills
• High level of proficiency with MS Excel (pivot tables, complex functions) and able to interpret and present data in an actionable way
• Skilled at project tracking and execution
• Strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Strong ability to be responsible, accountable and results-driven
• Bachelor’s degree
