Position Summary

Location: Houston, TX, Winston-Salem, NC or Rochester, NY US

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Divisional Finance Director and working closely with the Regional Finance Manager, the Regional Accountant role is part Finance, Planning and Analysis (FP&A) and part focussed on improving the control environment. The role will support the Divisional Finance Director (DFD) analysing the performance of the division and also support the Regional Finance Manager (RFM) in covering their geographic territory. It therefore aligns with the DFDs responsibilities in that it is primarily focused on the division but with particular attention on a the Americas (Latin America, USA and Canada).

This role will provide analysis and insight into financial performance and trends, provide support for subsidiary accountants within the region, Play an active role in the management of ERP implementation and review balance sheet accounts and monitor working capital / cash balances.

It will also support Regional Financial Managers and local Controllers with control of statutory and management accounting, support Regional Financial Managers with internal control and risk assessment, monitoring and improving company’s systems and procedures and identifying improvements in the control environment.

Lastly, they will support with annual the budget process and assist with ad hoc financial questions and internal audit.

Experience Requirements:
Degree in Finance

3+ years of relevant experience

Experience managing financial impact and outcomes, knowledge of control weaknesses and ability to suggest improvement actions

ERP / CRM experience and intermediate / advanced MS Office capabilities
