Rooms to Go Hiring for Rug Product Manager Ecommerce Job at Atlanta, GA Full Time

The E-Commerce Product Manager (Rug Specialist) is an expansion role within the Rooms To Go family. The individual will be responsible for managing online rug assortment and experience, while working with third party vendors. This is a great role to utilize your rug expertise with one of America’s largest furniture retailers. We are growing and looking for people who want to grow with us.

This position will be evaluating the eCommerce rug lineup and adjusting to current trends and establish a good, better, best retail experience. Must have excellent computer skills, including intermediate to advance excel as well as solid analytical ability, and able to perform under strong demands in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Researching rug products and style trends.
• Attend Seasonal markets for product selection as well as some local travel to manufactures for development and line extension.
• Manage vendor relationships
• Collect product offerings and follow up on market offerings as well as continued creation throughout the year.
• Responsible for completing internal processes to launch new merchandise onto the website, including price negotiation, retail calculations, naming product, image collection and writing and editing product copy, collection of GCC documents.
• Maintain inventory reports specifically for web products, and sales analysis for both store and online.
• Web Support:
• Daily surveying of the Rooms To Go site
• Removing and adding current and discontinued and/or out of stock product from the website and maintaining inventory reports with vendors.
• Responsible for consumer experience through online product content, images and ad copy, key words, etc.
• Site curation and product coordination to help improve online and store conversion.
• Working to develop marketing plans to maximize the Company’s online sales and profitability.
• Responsible to work cross functionally with programmers and designers on initiatives to help streamline and advance internal drop ship processes and allow for smoother ecommerce product launches.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in rug assortment planning, merchandising and/or product planning.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business and/or Merchandising and Design from a highly rated, regionally accredited University or College or similar years of experience
• Prefer experience specifically in E-Commerce
• Strong problem-solving skills, proven ability to identify and resolve problems
• Possess strong written and verbal cross-functional communication skills
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and will work well under pressure
• Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, Microsoft Office
• Able to interpret and work with different software/technology platforms
• Strong knowledge of retail math & problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Strong project management skills
• Work independently as well as in a team environment
• Maintain confidentiality
• Hybrid role after training period.
