Finance Team Manager
Indianapolis, IN OR Remote
The Manager of Government Audit Support will lead a team of Financial Analysts within the Government Finance team. This team is responsible for supporting all Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) audits and assists with other Government accounting and compliance functions. This position will interface directly with U.S. Government representatives and will be required to work with individuals at all levels within the organization for audit support and compliance issues. Knowledge of Government contracting and accounting regulations (FAR; DFARS and CAS) is preferred for this role. This role is required to have a thorough understanding of accounting principles; key financial processes and be familiar with audit testing and substantiation requirements. Primary accountabilities are to ensure prompt and accurate responses to the Requests for Information (RFI’s) from DCAA or DCMA to support Government Business and Financial audits.

Key Accountabilities:
Work directly with Customer Representatives including Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), ensuring data is organized and presented clearly
Facilitate requests received from the US Government and work with various departments across the organization to obtain and validate the information/documentation to support audit objectives
Interpret and understand Government contractual regulations and requirements in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
Manage a team, write responses to audit reports, review subordinate and peer work product prior submission to Government and defend the Company’s position in a professional manner
Adapt to changing priorities and work with USG personnel to clarify ambiguous requests and competent utilizing SAP or other ERP system to obtain financial data and proficient in Excel

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management and 5+ years of financial experience; OR
Master Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management and 3+ years of financial experience; OR
JD/PHD in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management
Team player with strong ability to work independently and with little direction at times
Excellent organization, planning and execution skills
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead a team of professionals
Sound analytical and investigative skills
Knowledge of Government contract regulation and requirements: FAR; DFARS and CAS
Experience with SAP, or other ERP system – knowledgeable with Finance; Production; Purchasing; Payment and Costing function
Experience with project costing and cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
