Rockford Specialties Looking for Shipping/Receiving/Materials Manager at Loves Park, IL Full Time

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:

To coordinate activities to ensure product is assembled, packaged, shipped, and sent to outside supply base on a schedule to meet customer demand. To maintain warehousing such that product is protected from damage and is readily available.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate packaging and assembly jobs
• Oversee shipping and receiving activity
• Plan trucking in and out
• Coordinate the loading and unloading of vehicles
• Expedite as needed
• Produce purchase orders/receive purchase orders
• Develop and maintain labels
• Adhere to Company policies as described in Associate handbook.
• Follow all procedures as they pertain to this position.
• Follow all quality standards and procedures.
• Maintain a safe and orderly work environment.
• Other tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A., B.S.) from four-year College or university; or one- to two-years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, write and speak English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or Associates of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
