Robert Half Looking for VP/Director of Finance at Metairie, LA Full Time

Description Our reputable client is seeking an interim VP/Director of Finance to join the company.This contract opportunity will be providing financial leadership in managing budgets, overseeing all accounting functions, and conducting forecast analysis. In addition, as a member of the Executive Team, the VP/Director of Finance will participate in the strategic planning process and will maintain and report on key financial metrics.

Your responsibilities in this role

• Develop and maintain adherence to the company’s accounting policies and procedures

• Generate and maintain effective professional relationships with the company’s bankers, auditors, government agencies, and other professional organizations

• Develop operational and long-term budgets and forecasts for the organization with the executive team and then monitor and report on performance against those budgets

• Oversee the preparation of relevant materials for detailed business unit projections and highlight risks/opportunities

• Supervise the annual/quarterly/monthly budgeting and forecasting processes

• Develop operating and financial metrics, analyze results and trends to create impactful insights, report results to executive leadership and key stakeholders, and improve forecasting and modeling accuracy

• Provide regular reports to internal and board stakeholders on the company’s key financial metrics Requirements – CPA designation or MBA highly preferred

• Must be skilled in analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution

• Must maintain a high level of accuracy while being detail oriented

• Bachelor or Business Administration degree with a specialization in Finance or Accounting

• Strong communication (written and verbal) skills to interact effectively and clearly in a fast-changing environment

• Must have strong integrity, confidentially, and accountability

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience at an executive level role
