Description A well-respected Robert Half client is seeking an interim VP/Director of Finance to join the ~~~ a member of the Executive Team, the VP/Director of Finance will participate in the strategic planning process and will maintain and report on key financial metrics. This contract opportunity will also be providing financial leadership in managing budgets, overseeing all accounting functions, and conducting forecast analysis.
Key responsibilities
Improve financial performance by developing operating and financial metrics, analyzing results and trends to create impactful insights, reporting results to executive leadership and key stakeholders, and improving forecasting and modeling accuracy
Create reports on the company’s key financial metrics for internal and board stakeholders
Develop and maintain effective professional relationships with the company’s bankers, auditors, government agencies, and other professional organizations
Generate operational and long-term budgets and forecasts for the organization with the executive team and then monitor and report on performance against those budgets
Oversee the preparation of relevant materials for detailed business unit projections and highlight risks/opportunities
Supervise the annual/quarterly/monthly budgeting and forecasting processes
Generate and sustain adherence to the company’s accounting policies and procedures Requirements – Bachelor or Business Administration degree with a specialization in Finance or Accounting
CPA designation or MBA highly preferred
Exceptional analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills
Must have excellent communication (written and verbal) skills to interact clearly and effectively in a fast-changing environment
Minimum of 8 years’ experience at an executive level role
Exceptional integrity, confidentially, and accountability
Must be detail oriented and maintain a high level of accuracy
