How you will make an impact – Regulate system upgrades and the processing of payroll changes (eg, new hires, terminations, raises) – Build systems to process payroll account transactions (eg, salaries, benefits, garnishments, deductions, taxes and third-party payments) – Follow internal policies and act in accordance with relevant laws – Collaborate with Human Resources (HR) and accounting teams – Maintain accurate records and prepare reports – Handle payroll tax audits and collaborate with auditors – Resolve issues and answer payroll-related questions – Arrange payroll systems and timekeeping – Manage and train payroll clerks and assistants Requirements – Excellent understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes – CPP, CPM, or other related professional certifications is a plus – 5+ years of payroll experience – Knowledge in compliance – Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources or related field – Organizational and leadership skills – Accomplished in handling confidential business matters and information with discretion – Great written, verbal, and interpersonal skills – Proficiency in payroll applications – 2+ years of proven leadership experience as a payroll manager or similar role – Current knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
