Description A well-respected Robert Half client in the public sector is seeking a Finance Manager to join the company for an interim opportunity. The Finance Manager will be tasked with the responsibility of articulating the financial results at the end of each reporting period and for each planning cycle. Join our team on a contract basis, where you will be working closely with management in various business groups to provide the required financial information, analysis, and advice in order to make financially sound decisions.

Collaborate with business unit leaders on overall business strategy and the completeness and accuracy of the material inputs to the company financial model
Collaborate with the accounting team to establish processes and improve close cycle times and reduce errors
Establish strong partnerships with leaders across the organization
Assemble detailed business unit projections, highlight risks/opportunities, and oversee the preparation of relevant materials
Drive financial performance by developing operating and financial metrics, analyzing results and trends to create impactful insights, reporting results to executive leadership and key stakeholders, and improving forecasting and modelling accuracy
Use BI tools and financial systems to institute and automate reports
Prepare executive-level management reporting, summarizing findings and recommendations
Oversee and coordinate the reforecast processes and the annual/quarterly/monthly budget Requirements – CPA designation or MBA preferred
Minimum of 4+ years of progressive experience in a FP& A capacity
Knowledge of accounting systems and budgetary software
2+ years of people development and leadership experience
Bachelor or Business Administration degree with a specialization in Finance or Accounting
Must have excellent communication (written and verbal) skills to interact clearly and effectively in a fast-changing environment
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and data analysis capabilities
Strong knowledge of financial modeling and accounting implications
