Description Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking a Director of Finance. As part of the management team, the director of finance must have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills. If you are an experienced VP/Director of Finance looking for a challenging role at an established company, this may be the role for you.

Key responsibilities

• Aid in developing department goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures- Supervise risk and insurance management

• Compare monthly operating results against budget

• Maintains and reviews budgeting and forecasting models

• Comply with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements

• Suggest benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance

• Oversee all hiring aspects of finance staff, including training and retention

• Direct, review, and prepare budget management and financial planning functions

• Supervise all financial reporting preparation

• Prepare financial analysis for product investment decisions and contract negotiations

• Develop five-year business plans with department managers

• Manage daily operations of the finance and accounting department

• Prepare financial outlooks and forecasts

• Manage the organizational structure of the department in order to achieve goals and objectives Requirements – High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Extremely detailed and analytical

• 10+ years of finance and accounting experience

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting

• Expert understanding of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

• MBA or CPA is preferred

• Knowledge of financial and accounting reporting systems
